About the Program
Hearts in Motion is a teen volunteer program designed to help young people understand hospice care and its role in supporting patients and families during end-of-life journeys.

Monthly Activities
School Year: 3rd Saturday of each month
Summer: 3rd Friday of each month

- Decorating cookies at assisted living facilities
- BINGO events
- Ice cream socials
Opportunities
Job Shadowing (Thursdays)
Participants may shadow:
- Doctor
- Nurse
- Social Worker
- Chaplain
Summer Experience
- Weekly visits at the hospice home
- Hands-on volunteer engagement
Additional Opportunities
- IPU interdisciplinary group meetings
Other activities
- Visiting hospice patients
- Baking cookies or making popcorn
- Assisting families with snack and drink carts
These experiences provide direct service opportunities while building meaningful connections with patients and families.
