Since 1983, Mountain Valley has provided compassionate, high-quality hospice and palliative care to people facing serious illness. As a nonprofit hospice, we help patients and families understand their care options, manage pain and symptoms, and receive support from specially trained caregivers.
Our goal is to help patients spend more meaningful time with the people they love and focus on what matters most. We care for the whole family, not just the illness, and provide care wherever patients call home.
Mountain Valley began as Hospice of Surry County, Inc. In 2005, we merged with Northern Hospice of Surry County to expand our services and reach more families. Today, Mountain Valley serves patients and families in 18 counties across North Carolina and Virginia, offering trusted support throughout serious illness.
