Memorial Gifts

Memorial gifts are a meaningful way to honor the life of a loved one while supporting compassionate care for others. When a donation is made in memory of someone, Mountain Valley promptly acknowledges the donor and notifies the family listed in our medical records or provided at the time of the gift. Family notifications are prepared and mailed twice monthly, which may result in a brief delay. Please know that every memorial gift is recorded with care, gratitude, and respect, and directly supports patients and families we serve—ensuring no one is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.

Making a memorial gift to Mountain Valley

Honoring a loved one through a memorial gift is a meaningful way to celebrate a life and extend compassion to others during their time of need. We are deeply grateful for these gifts and the trust families place in Mountain Valley.

How memorial gifts are acknowledged
When a donation is made in memory of a loved one, we promptly send a letter of acknowledgment to the donor to express our gratitude. We also notify the designated family member of the individual being honored. To protect privacy and ensure accuracy, memorial notifications are sent to the family member(s) listed in our medical records or provided at the time of donation.

Timing of memorial notifications
Memorial letters to families are prepared and printed twice monthly. Because of this schedule, families may experience a short delay before receiving notification of a gift. Please know that every memorial gift is carefully recorded and acknowledged with the utmost respect and care.

Privacy and respect
In keeping with our commitment to confidentiality, we are unable to share donor names or details beyond what is appropriate and permitted. Our goal is always to honor both the loved one being remembered and the wishes of those who give.

How memorial gifts are used

Memorial donations directly support patients and families served by Mountain Valley—helping ensure that no one is ever turned away due to an inability to pay. These gifts provide comfort, dignity, and compassionate care when it is needed most.

If you have questions about making a memorial gift or would like assistance ensuring a family member is notified, our philanthropy team is always happy to help. We are honored to walk alongside families as they remember and celebrate those they love. Please call (743) 248-9156.
